Neighborhood Stabilization Program

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program, authorized by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (HERA), will assist state and local governments in the redevelopment of abandoned and foreclosed properties and increase the availability of affordable housing for low, moderate and middle income households. The funding amounts were determined by formula established by HUD using criteria specified by HERA.

The City of Jacksonville has received an allocation of $26,175,317 in funding from this program for use in Duval County. The city's application to HUD for its allocation is due Dec. 1, 2008, and can be viewed at the following link:
